Woman Arrested for a Stabbing in Vernon Parish

Police are calling it a case of domestic abuse. A man is stabbed and a woman is arrested in Vernon Parish.

18-year old Kennedy Prether of Rosepine is behind bars. Deputies were called to a home last night where they found Marvin Calcote stabbed in the chest – though he’s expected to be okay.

Prether is charged with battery.
