Vernon Deputies Investigating Cemetery Vandalism

Deputies say the report came in Monday and they found a vault and headstone, which appears to have been damaged by some kind of vehicle. The damage to the vault is so severe the casket has been exposed to weather.

Deputies say they’ll increase patrols at local cemeteries. Meanwhile, anyone with information to help solve the crime should call the sheriff’s office.
