Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrests
May 14, 2013 – On Friday, Rapides deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Street and MacArthur Drive for a seat belt violation.
19-year-old Marcus Randall Haston, Jr. of Alexandria and the passenger, 25-year-old Kayla Marie Walker of Hineston, LA. became so nervous deputies asked if she needed medical attention, which she refused.
Walker exited the vehicle and a bag of methamphetamine fell from her lap to the ground. Haston was found in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. Haston, Walker and another passenger, 26-year-old James Clifford Fleming of Oakdale denied ownership of the methamphetamine.
All three were arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
