Tickets for President’s Command Performance at NSU still available

Northwestern_State_University_of_LouisianaNATCHITOCHES – Tickets are still available for the President’s Command Performance, a spring celebration of the arts honoring Bill Brent, former director of Northwestern State University’s Mrs. H.D. Dear Sr. and Alice E. Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts.  The event will take place Friday, April 4 and will include performances by several Northwestern State University music ensembles, a cocktail reception, silent auction and concluding musical performance progressing through NSU’s Alumni Plaza, Orville Hanchey Gallery and Magale Recital Hall.

Tommy and Cindy Chester are supporting the President’s Command Performance as table sponsors for the event. Tickets are still available for the spring gala, to begin at 6 p.m. Friday, April 4. Tickets are $65 per person or $125 per couple.  Tickets will be sold onsite the night of the event.

The gala will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails and entertainment in the Alumni Plaza and move through the gallery to the recital hall for concluding musical performances hosted by Dr. Greg Handel and Dr. Jeff Mathews.  Performances honor Brent, who retired last year after serving the university more than 30 years as director of bands and director of the School of Creative and Performing Arts.  During Friday’s event, Brent will be the first inductee in the CAPA Hall of Fame.
