The School Resource Officer at North Bayou Rapides Elementary was advised of a burglary in the area of Hideaway Subdivision.  The SRO saw the suspects running behind the school and maintained visual contact until Patrol Deputies arrived.

Upon arrival, deputies located and detained three suspects identified as 18 year-old Darius Mitchell, 17 year-old Chaquirion Parker, and 17 year-old Nicholas King, all three from Alexandria.

RPSO Detectives also responded to the scene.  During their investigation, the deputies discovered that a residence on  Orchard St. had been burglarized.  A door to the residence had been kicked in and game consoles and games were taken.  Deputies on the scene recovered  the stolen items.

Detectives also learned the same suspects had been involved in a recently reported burglary in the 1700 block of Roscommon St in the Kelley Land Subdivision.

All three suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They are charged with burglary, criminal damage to property, and theft under $500.

Detectives say these same suspects are possibly involved in several more burglaries in the area and the investigation is ongoing.  All three subjects were released on a $10,100 bond.
