Suspect Arrested in Natchitoches Homicide Investigation

Natchitoches police are investigating their first homicide of 2014.  They’ve arrested the victim’s son, Lawrence Monette of Natchitoches.  The victim is 63 year-old Colton Pete Monette of Cloutierville, who was stabbed on Lake Street Friday afternoon.

Arrested in the murder of his father was 39 year-old Lawrence Monette of Natchitoches.  Monette is accused of fatally stabbing his father Colten Monette in the chest with a pocket knife around 5 p.m. Friday evening. Lawrence was arrested on one count of Second Degree Murder and placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond
