Suspect Arrested in Attempted Murder Case

class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-47449″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ladier_newman.jpg” alt=”ladier_newman” width=”500″ height=”300″ />On 2-16-16 the Alexandria Police arrested Ladier Newman 27 of Alexandria, for attempted murder and home invasion.

On 2-15-16 the Alexandria police was dispatched to a local hospital in reference to a stabbing incident. The victim advised the officers that Newman had stabbed him while in the 900 block of Bogan street. He told officers that Newman and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument and the boyfriend ran to his house to get away from Newman. Newman then forced her way into the victim’s house going after her boyfriend. The victim stated he got between the two in an attempt to defuse the situation. The victim and the boyfriend then left the house to visit a sick relative. When they returned Newman was sitting in her her car in front of the house. The victim stated he went over to apologize to Newman and she stabbed him in the abdomen area. He drove himself to the hospital.

A warrant was obtained for Newman and she was arrested. The victim has been hospitalized due to his injuries.
