State Legislature To Plug Budget Hole with Rainy Day Fund

class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-13736″ src=”” alt=”dollar sign” width=”150″ height=”150″ />Members of the Louisiana Legislature have voted to take money from the state’s rainy day fund to plug the budget shortfall.

Two house members from Central Louisiana, James Armes of Leesville and Frankie Howard of Many voted against the proposal.

The money totals $28.2 million to assist higher education and health care.
