Sons arrested for cruelty to the infirm

The Boyce Police Department has made an arrest concerning the death of Ethel Glynn, age eightyeight, of Boyce, Louisiana.
On March 22, 2023, the Rapides Coroner’s office contacted the Chief of Police for the Boyce Police
Department to investigate the death of Ethel Glynn, age eighty-eight, of Boyce, Louisiana.

The coroner’s office received an alarming call from medical staff when Ms. Glynn was taken to the hospital
by ambulance of being in a deplorable state.

Detectives began their investigation and discovered that the care of Ms. Glynn reached the level of
criminality. Family members called an ambulance service to take the victim to the hospital due to the
horrendous state of Ms. Glynn; this is what prompted the investigation.

Ms. Glynn lived with her two sons in a residence located in Boyce, Louisiana. James Mccoy, age 66, and Kevin Glynn, age 56, were
the primary caregivers of Ms. Glynn.

On Tuesday 04/04/2023 at approximately 6:30 a.m. James Mccoy and Kevin Glynn were arrested on a
warrant for cruelty to the infirm. The two brothers were taken from their residence in Boyce to DC-1
for booking. The bond is set at $200,000 apiece.
