Six Arrested in Multiple Alexandria Residential Burglaries

Press Release – In recent weeks, the Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints of residential burglaries that occurred in the Hideaway Subdivision, England Drive and Kellyland area of Rapides Parish.  In each burglary, common items were taken such as electronics, firearms, jewelry, prescription medications and various sums of money.

Detectives had been investigating the incidents and on August 27,2017, Patrol deputies responded to the areas of Powell Lane and Lanny Street for multiple complaints of burglaries in the area.  Several calls were received by Sheriff’s dispatch reporting burglaries, all with similar items taken.

Sheriff’s dispatch also received a call reporting four suspects running from the area carrying multiple flat screen televisions.  Patrol deputies and detectives saturated the area and the suspects were located and placed under arrest.

Those suspects are Mayon Dameko Jones Jr., SamJuan Deshon King, J’Vaughn Barnes, Nicholas Joel McQuarn and two juvenile offenders.

All suspects were arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and remain in jail on bond.  The juvenile suspects were issued juvenile citations and released to their parents.
