Shooting at a Law Office in Covington

class=”alignleft wp-image-10909″ style=”margin: 2px 4px;” alt=”Shooting” src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Shooting1.jpg” width=”240″ height=”180″ />A shooting at a law office in Covington results in a suicide.  47-year-old Roderick Rist of Slidell is identified as the gunman.

The coroner’s office says he shot and killed himself after opening fire at the Upton Law Firm.  An office manager was inside and hid until police found her.  Police say Rist fired outside the office and then went inside, firing some 20 to 80 rounds.  It happened yesterday afternoon while many employees were still at lunch.  Police have recovered two handguns.

No word on the man’s motive.
