Seniors Enjoy Month of Olympic Games
A month of games comes to an end today for seniors in their own olympics. They took part in several events, from track and field to shuffleboard, and even challenges like a spelling bee. Winners of these games will head to state competitions.
Today, all the athletes took part in a health and fitness day with free screenings provided by Rapides Regional Medical Center.
The games are sponsored by the area senior citizens centers.
Many of these winners are veterans of the games and are expected to bring home medals from state competition.
