Saturday Pet Adoption Day
The City of Alexandria’s Animal Shelter will host a Saturday Pet Adoption Day from 9AM – 1PM on February 1st.
“Our animal shelter was created for the sake of public safety and public health where dangerous or diseased animals are humanely dealt with, ” Mayor Jacques M. Roy said. “It has become, however, a place where many perfectly good pets end up for one reason or another. It is our hope that we can help these pets find new homes.”
The Saturday Adoption Day will be held monthly and those looking for a new pet are encouraged to attend.
