Sanders Trial Disrupted Due to Electrical Problems

class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-39435″ src=”” alt=”sanderstrial” width=”168″ height=”225″ />The penalty phase of the Thomas Steven Sanders case in Alexandria Federal Court is disrupted and in recess until Monday.

Court officials say last night an electrical problem cut off power to the Federal Court House. The penalty phase of the Sanders trial will resume Monday at a location to be announced.

The disruption happened after 2 days of testimony in the case. A jury will decide whether he lives or dies for the kidnapping and slaying of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts.

The U.S. Post Office inside the federal building is still open with an entrance only through the back.
