The honor came at the Annual Polygraph Seminar. From left is Sergeant Bell, and Detective Iles is on the far right.

Inv. Sgt. Bell, Jr. is a 15 year veteran of RPSO, having started at the Louisiana Youth Academy as a Drill Instructor.  Inv. Sgt. Bell worked in Corrections Division, Patrol Division and then the Detective Division.  Inv. Sgt. Bell also serves on the United States Secret Service Southwest LA Financial Crimes Task Force.  He is currently assigned to the Internal Affairs Division.

Detective Iles is a 16-year veteran of RPSO, having served in the Patrol Division, Training Division, Special Operations Group and now serves in the Detective Division.  Detective Iles has served as the Team Leader and Tactical Commander of the RPSO SWAT Team.  He is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division-Main Office.

“This is a very prestigious award for our detectives to be given” said Sheriff William Earl Hilton.  “Their hard work, dedication and attention to detail has really paid off on several cases we have closed over the last 3 years.  We look forward to the continued use of their skills in solving cases and protecting the citizens of Rapides Parish.”
