Rosepine Man Arrested for Video Voyeurism and Possession of Child Porn

Press Release – Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the June 20, 2016 arrest of Jeffery Debarge, age 30, of Rosepine.

Debarge was initially arrested on May 13, 2016 following an investigation into allegations that on several occasions Debarge secreted his cellular phone in a restroom to film an adult female and 9 year old juvenile female without their knowledge.

Debarge was originally charged with two counts of Video Voyeurism and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. Bond was set on these charges at $ 150,000.00.

Detectives did contact the Louisiana State Police and a forensic examination of Debarge’s cellular phone was conducted.

During the course of the examination additional videos of the juvenile female were located.

Debarge had attempted to delete these videos from his cellular phone.

Debarge was arrested on an additional charge of Video Voyeurism and bond on this charge was set at $50, 000.00.

Total bond for Debarge is currently $ 200,000.00 and he remains in the VPSO jail.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
