Road Work to Begin on LA 399

DOTDThe Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 road construction work will begin on LA 399 from the intersection of LA 112 to intersection of LA 10. This 8 mile long road reconstruction project will receive drainage structures, cold planing, pavement patching, in-place cement treated base course, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, and related work. The project was awarded to the low bidder, Prairie Contractors Inc., in the amount of ,630,200.95.

Permit/Detour section

There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles.  The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction and unpaved roadway conditions will exist during base course construction.  The roadway will be open to traffic at all times.
