The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015 at 8:00 am, LA 1221 will be closed 1.6 miles north of its junction with LA 120. The intent of this closure is to remove a 36 inch double barrel concrete pipe and replace with a 60 inch corrugated metal pipe. This closure is expected to last 2 days.
The roadway will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the pipe replacement. There will not be a detoured route as this route ends approximately 2.3 miles north of the pipe replacement, which starts the beginning of Natchitoches Parish road named Bethany Highway Extension.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through all construction sites and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
