Road Closure: Intersection of 3rd & 4th at Winn St.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning on Monday October 10, at 8:00 AM, the intersection of 3rd Street and 4th Street at Winn Street will be closed to traffic due to construction. The work will consist of Sidewalks, Grading, Drainage Structures, Asphaltic Concrete Pavement, Curbing, Landscaping, Lighting, and related work. The intersection is expected to be closed until Monday November 7. Details of the detour routes are listed below. As a reminder, the roadway from St. James Street to Broadway Avenue will be reduced from 2 lanes to 1 lane with a 10’ width restriction until April 2017.

Detour Routes:
LA 1(3rd St) Eastbound – Turn right on St. James St and continue to 4th St; turn left on 4th St and continue to Winn St; turn right on Winn St and continue to 6th St; turn left on 6th St and continue to Casson St; turn left on Casson St and continue to LA 1(3rd St); turn right on LA 1.

4th St Eastbound –Turn right on Winn St and continue to 6th St; turn left on 6th St and continue to Casson St; turn left on Casson St and continue to LA 1(3rd St); turn right on LA 1.

Winn St Southbound – From LA 1(Main St) westbound, turn left on St. James St and continue to 4th St; turn left on 4th St and continue to Winn St; turn right on Winn St.
