Results for Hotly Contested Races Could Come Late Tonight

It’s Election Day, and it could be late before some hotly contested races are decided.

Polls opened at 6 o’clock this morning and even though it’s not a presidential election, officials reported a sizeable early turnout with several thousand voters. In Louisiana, Tuesday elections tend to draw fewer voters than Saturday races.
