They gathered at Kees Park in Pineville to express opposition to the governor’s plan to privatize the public hospital that serves those in need.
The plans are still in limbo, because a proposal to shutter the facility and move operations to England Air Park is still being negotiated. Governor Bobby Jindal wants Rapides Regional and CHRISTUS Cabrini to form an alliance to run Huey Long Hospital at the England Air Park site.
