Rapides Regional Hosts First Farmer’s Market
Rapides Regional Medical Center hosted its first-ever farmers market inside the Women’s and Children’s Hospital at Soup N’ Such today.
Local produce vendors brought in fresh produce for employees and visitors to purchase. Items this week included strawberries from Amite and Holden Louisiana, sweet potatoes from Sunset Louisiana, cello button mushrooms from Independence Louisiana and much more.
Organizers say this was a big success and they plan to have local farmers and vendors participate at the next market.
