Rapides Parish Fair Spirit Spectacular Winners

Cheerleaders are usually yelling for their teams on the field.  But what happens when they’re the ones on the field in competition with other schools?

That was the scene at the Rapides Parish Fair late yesterday for the annual cheerleading contest.  All the squads in the parish are entered.  And even though they compete against other schools throughout the year, this is special, because the trophy goes to the best of the best parish wide.

Winners earned trophies in 3 categories for cheer, pep or booster and dance.  This year’s winners are:
