Rapides Inmate Smuggles Contraband into Jail Via Body Cavity

38-year-old Shane Crain of Alexandria is charged with possession with intent to distribute. Deputies say two bags of marijuana and tobacco were removed at a hospital.
“Most of our trustee’s do an excellent job working in the community to help pay their debt to society. Some continue to break the law. Our deputies are vigilant in their efforts to prevent contraband from getting in our jails” said Sheriff William Earl Hilton.
