Qualification Lawsuit Against Landrieu Dismissed

landrieulawsuitA lawsuit, challenging senator Landrieu’s qualification to run for re-election, is no more.

This morning, Judge Wilson Fields dismissed State Representative, Paul Hollis’ case against Landrieu that claimed she’s not a full-time resident of Louisiana.  He ruled the lawsuit, was premature, based on what’s stated in the U.S. Constitution, which says a candidate must be a resident of the state, at the time of their election.

Judge Fields says the challenge could be filed, after the November 4th election.
