Public meeting on recreation and zoo millage set Thursday at ASH

A public meeting to discuss the proposed City Recreation and Zoo Support millage will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at Alexandria Senior High School, 800 Ola St.

The funds generated by the proposed 6-mill tax, if passed, will be used to support the zoo as well as expand cultural, parks and recreation programming, make additional capital improvements and maintain this improved level of operations, maintenance, and staff.
