Public Policy Polling conducted the study last week. It found 78 percent of Louisiana voters oppose sentences of six months or longer for pot possession. 59 percent oppose jail time for first-time possession charges. And 68 percent support letting seriously ill patients use medical marijuana.
Also, two-thirds acknowledge knowing someone who has been in possession of marijuana.
