Parents, Students Protest Common Core
Some parents and students spent their lunch hour protesting the Common Core curriculum today. They met at Kees Park in Pineville to stage the rally.
They object to what they call government interference in education. The common core was developed after governors decided all states should have some minimum requirements. It’s been adopted in Louisiana with some changes and with local options for parishes.
