Operation Christmas Child Kicks Off

Operation Christmas Child is one of the great traditions this season for families who want to send love and gifts all over the world.

The collection week begins next Monday.

Cheryl Forester with Operation Christmas Child says, “Well, our goal this year for Central Louisiana is 13,501 and we added the one in there just to emphasize that every box is important,” says Cheryl Forester with Operation Christmas Child. “There’s no one that’s not important and we have our collection coming up at the middle of November, November 16th through the 23rd. Basically we ask people to find a shoe box like we have here, wrap it in Christmas paper if you can with the lid separately and include toys and gifts, school items, hygiene items and toys for a child.”
