Old Ballfield to be Converted into Parking Lot

The school board member for that area acknowledges this is a 17-year-old waste of time and money. He says the original baseball field was used once and was condemned, for many reasons including a lack of handicapped facilities.

New member Wilton Barrios says more parking is needed for the growing school, so this will be a better use of resources. He acknowledges mistakes were made before his term on the board, and he says he agrees taxpayer funds were wasted on the ball field.
