Notary Exam Prep Course

NATCHITOCHES – A notary exam prep course will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education starting Tuesday, Sept. 2. The class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon in Russell Hall, Room 122 through Nov. 21.

The fee for the class is $430, which does not include textbooks.

The 52-hour course is offered by video conferencing. The class has been extended and revamped to help participants prepare for and conquer the new statewide notary exam. Those taking the class will be given a specific review of the subjects tested on the new statewide exam.  The test format changed beginning with the June 2015 test.

The course requires the 2015 edition of the Louisiana Notary Public examination official study guide, which costs approximately $90 can be obtained from the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office, at sos.louisiana.gov.
