New Teen Buddy Camp Helps Challenged Teens

You may have heard of Buddy Camp, but today the program kicks off their new addition, Teen Buddy Camp.

This program serves teenagers with developmental challenges. Campers participate in activities that cultivate skills like cooking, internet safety, socialization, and spiritual development.

The camp director, Stacey Caplan, explains why she created the original Buddy Camp 16 years ago.

Caplan anticipated that campers who aged out of the original Buddy Camp would want to continue the experience at a more mature level, so she started the teen program.

She noted that there are few programs that accommodate teenagers with developmental challenges.
