Narcotics Arrest Made at Local Hotel

Press Release – On January 30th , 2015, Agents assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Metro Division were conducting an investigation into illegal narcotics activity at a local Alexandria hotel. Agents were given information that drugs were being regularly delivered to various rooms. Surveillance developed numerous leads and identified one suspected dealer as 34-year-old Lamar Perice Phillips, I of Alexandria.
Agents were familiar with Phillips as they had served a search warrant on his home on January 22nd , 2015. During that search warrant, Agents seized Methamphetamine and several “cookies” of Crack Cocaine.
While conducting surveillance, Agents observed Phillips going to a specific room. Agents contacted Phillips at the room and found him in possession of several “rocks” of Crack Cocaine.
Phillips was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on 1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS II and a Parole Violation. Bond was set at $10,000, however he is being held without bond on a Parole Violation. Agents say the investigation into illegal narcotics activity at local hotels is still ongoing.
