Narcotics Arrest

Alexandria police say they acted on a tip and arrest a local man for possession of illegal pills. He is 35-year-old Devin Carpenter of Alexandria, charged with possession of narcotics.

Alexandria Police received information that possible narcotics were being sold in the area of the 1700 Block of East Texas Ave. Police were given a description of the suspects and the vehicle they were in. They proceeded to the area and located the vehicle.

The investigation resulted in two subjects being investigated, with Devin Carpenter being arrested. Carpenter was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked. The second subject was released.

Found in the car were suspected Hydrocodone and Percoset pills.
