Master Farmer University Underway at LSUA
Master Farmer University is underway at LSU Alexandria today and tomorrow.
These students are completing the second of three phases of this program. It introduces them to management practices for all phases of animal and crop production. Also, environmental issues are a major focus of the curriculum.
Today these farmers are in the classroom, learning about cotton, feed grains, soybeans, rice, sugarcane and livestock. Tomorrow, they head to the fields to see conservation practices first-hand.
