Marksville Elementary Students Commemorate Veterans Day
Students at Marksville Elementary are commemorating Veterans Day by honoring those who served. These students are remembering some of their own from the Marksville community. They have designed and staged their own salute to veterans with music, readings, and decorations. They have invited a former prisoner of war and a Purple Heart recipient.
The teachers say it’s a great way for students to learn about history. And, it’s an honor for these veterans when students thank them for their service.
