Man Arrested After Police Standoff

A standoff in Grant Parish between a man and a mother with five children ends with one arrest.  The call went into the Grant Sheriff’s Office yesterday afternoon and lasted several hours.

Russell Hoffpauir, II of Montgomery is now in jail on a quarter of a million dollar bond for false imprisonment, domestic abuse with child endangerment and a weapons offense.

Deputies say he had an assault rifle with hundreds of rounds of bullets, a shotgun, pistol, tactical vest with ammunition, large knife, g-p-s and other tactical equipment.
