LSUA Softball Coach Announces Surprise Departure, New Coach Starts Aug. 3rd

In her first season as the head of LSUA Softball, Erica Harwell led the Generals in an undefeated conference run to the NAIA World Series.

So, you wouldn’t think she would be leaving anytime soon. But in a surprise twist, Harwell is going back to coach 5A high school softball, taking the reins at Alexandria Senior High.

So who would replace her? That’s where Coach Jerry Breaux comes in, leaving Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.

Breaux has tacked on 22 seasons with the Crusaders and 2 trips to the NAIA World Series. With over 600 wins at the collegiate level, and 930 overall, Breaux not only has the experience to evolve the Generals into an elite squad, but he will also be serving as the Assistant AD.

His official start date is August 3rd.
