LSBA Calls for Increased Funding for Public Education
The Louisiana School Board Association has called for an increase in state funding for public education. The LSBA cited rising costs as the need to increase the state’s minimum foundation program.
Currently, the state provides public education with over three billion dollars per year.
The LSBA is holding its 77th annual convention in Shreveport and school board members from all 64 parishes are participating this week.
