Local Firefighter Dies in House Fire

class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-33731″ alt=”firefighter” src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/firefighter.jpg” width=”500″ height=”277″ />An off-duty Rapides Parish firefighter dies after his home catches fire, Sunday evening.  He’s 24-year-old Dustin Bordelon.

Authorities say they saw thick smoke coming from the house, but were able to put out the blaze and remove the victim.  He was taken a hospital where he later died.

Investigators say the fire started in the kitchen.
