The 2013 audit of the six campuses had so many errors that an outside accountant was hired for $19,000 to figure out the books.
School officials say the biggest problem seems to be the books were never reconciled so tuition and fees were overstated by more than $2 million.
The state is planning to build a new facility for the VoTech School in downtown Alexandria and it’s expected to cost several million dollars.
