Leesville Looks to Solve City’s Water Problems

LeesvilleWaterWater problems in the City of Leesville may soon be history.  The USDA Rural Development will provide more than 16 million dollars for improvements to the city water system.  It’s a combination loan and grant.

City officials say it will help the system stay up and running, and conserve water once the improvements are made.

The city has been having troublesome water leaks.  And, this has resulted in a loss of money.

The improvements are also to secure an emergency water supply for Fort Polk.
