LaSalle Deputies Investigating Bomb Threat

jenahighschoolDeputies are investigating a bomb threat that was reported this morning at Jena High School. Authorities say nothing was found and nobody was hurt.

School administrators and the sheriff followed their long-established protocol and evacuated the building. Students and staff were sent to the junior high school where their parents picked them up.

Sheriff Franklin says students and staff were not allowed to take their cars until all vehicles were cleared by deputies. The time-consuming process took most of the day and authorities say people will be notified by Facebook when they can pick up their vehicles.

Authorities say in almost all circumstances, they are able to find who makes these threats and they will be charged.
