LA’s 1st Female State Senator Dies at 92
class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-44798″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/VirginiaShehee.jpg” alt=”VirginiaShehee” width=”159″ height=”225″ />Funeral services for Louisiana’s first elected female state senator, Virginia Kilpatrick Sheehee, will be Friday morning in Shreveport.
Former State Senator Sheehee died Monday at the age of 92.
She was well-known statewide as a businesswoman, philanthropist, and community activist. She is survived by her four children and their families, including her daughter, Nell Sheehee Kramer and her husband Graham of Alexandria.
Services will be held at 11 o’clock at the Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by Rose Neath Funeral Home, one of her family’s companies.
