greater-tuna“Greater Tuna” starts Thursday, July 11th and runs through Sunday, July 14th at Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center.  Get tickets here!

A Southern Comedy sure to leave you in stitches. 2 men, 20 characters, tons of costume changes, and hilarious antics await you in this hilarious show that’s fun for all ages.

GREATER TUNA is the sidesplitting comedy about Texas’ third-smallest town; where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The citizens that make up this small town are portrayed by only two performers. Come watch Bill Bush and Ross Schexnayder depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna!

This is part one in a 4-part helping of the Tuna series. In this satire depicting small town, Southern life, Bill and Ross will depict characters of both genders and various ages. GREATER TUNA is one of the most produced plays in the United States, playing to down home country folk all the way to prestigious audiences in the White House.

Ross and Bill are no strangers to playing multiple characters. Each year, Lagniappe Theatre produces the annual Cenla Christmas Spectacular hosted by fictional Cajun Radio Hosts- Jean “the Clod” Claude (Ross) and Dirty Coutille (Bill). Their guests each year (played by both Ross and Bill) range from Dottie Varnadaux: Miss Strawberry Queen 1939 to the Rapides Parish Coliseum (a-la Elvis). Doing a show like GREATER TUNA just made perfect sense.  It’s the Summer of Laughs, with Lagniappe Theatre!
