LA Students Compete in Auto Tech Competition
20 juniors and seniors from 10 high schools across the state competed this morning.
They’re repairing cars, but it’s not as simple as it sounds. These cars have been purposely bugged to test the auto tech skills of these budding mechanics. Each 2-student team will race the clock to identify and fix the problems.
The winning team members receive scholarships and other prizes. And, they will represent the state of Louisiana at the finals in Dearborn, Michigan next month.
First place went to the team from Caddo Career and Technology Center in Shreveport.
