Juveniles Cited for Brandishing Replica Revolver

Because of their ages, their names are being not released. The kids were released to their parents.
A sheriff’s deputy says even he could have been fooled by the realistic looking revolver. Deputies say it even included removable, replicated bullets.
The two juveniles reportedly brandished it at another child yesterday morning.
“We have seen this type of incident end tragically all over the United States recently where police officers have to decide in a split second whether or not to defend themselves in a lethal force encounter” said Sheriff William Earl Hilton. “We have included the pictures of the replica revolver and even one of our Sergeants (Sgt. Tracy Bellino) pointing the revolver toward the camera. It would be nearly impossible to tell, even to a firearms enthusiast as myself, if this is a real gun or not. A deputies life and the life of another can be changed forever in that split second over a toy.”
