Just Dance To Host Summer Sensation 2014 Dance Camps

JustDanceAlexandria, LA – Just Dance will host four weeks of dance camps this summer. Each week of camp will include dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, and creative movement. Also included are stories, games, arts & crafts, movies, and more.

Each week of dance camp features a different theme, with all music, choreography, stories, games, arts & crafts, and movies revolving around that central theme:

Week 1 – June 9-13 – We Got the Beat! – We have 80s fever to the max! Join us for a quick trip in a time machine way back to the 1980s. From crafts to movies and from fashion to dance moves, this entire week is dedicated to celebrating a decade of awesomeness! It’s going to be, like, totally tubular!Ages 5-12 / full-day camp

Week 2 – June 23-27 – Wonder Women – During this week of camp we will highlight influential women throughout history. We will learn about women who have achieved great things and helped shape the world in which we live – our Wonder Women. We will also use these women as inspiration for creating goals as we eachwalk our own path to becoming amazing young women.Ages 5-12 / full-day camp

Week 3 – July 7-11 – It’s a Small World – This week is about all things small! Think fairies, dollhouses, ladybugs, and magical lands. Our craft selections will be perfectly pint-sized. We’ll watch grand movies where the action takes place on a petite scale. The best things in life come in small packages!Ages 3-4 / half-day camp – Ages 5-12 / full-day camp

Week 4 – July 28-August 1 – Muppet Mania – It’s time to celebrate friendship and individuality with our favorite puppets! It’s also time to learn how to craft our own puppets and create our own unique stories. In the words ofthe cutest frog ever, “Life’s like a movie, write your own ending. Keep believing, keep pretending.”Ages 3-4 / half-day camp – Ages 5-12 / full-day camp

Summer Sensation Camp Coordinator Katie Shuflin-Febuary stated, “We are so excited about this summer of dance camps! We definitely want participating children to have a fun experience and learn a lot about dance, but it’s also a great opportunity for them to learn about life as well. We’ll explore themes like friendship, individuality, courage, determination, and kindness. While our main focus is dance education, we believe we also have an obligation to help grow girls who are strong, smart, creative, confident, and brave.”
