Jury Convicts Sanders of Capital Murder

The prosecution is asking for the death penalty in the death of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts. The death penalty phase will begin a week from tomorrow.
The little girl’s body was found by hunters four years ago in Catahoula Parish.
Sanders confessed to the crime, but his attorneys pleaded for his life.
The jury was out about an hour.
