Jena Man Killed over Holiday Weekend

Fatal CrashA Jena man is killed over the holiday weekend in Catahoula Parish. Troopers responded to the accident around 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

Troopers say 36-year-old Benjamin Doyle Hailey lost control of his utility-terrain vehicle on Parham Road near Highway 600. According to the press release, view after loosing control, ampoule he drove off the road and started over turning, and Hailey was thrown from the Polaris UTV.

Hailey was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt or a helmet.

Routine toxicology tests are pending; this crash is still under investigation.
